Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about flying with FlyAeroNow.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my flight?
Aviation is highly weather-dependent. If conditions aren't suitable, our operations team will place your booking on hold and notify you as early as possible. You'll be given a priority rebooking link to choose a new date at no extra cost — and your voucher validity is automatically extended.
Are there weight and height restrictions?
Yes, for safety and aircraft weight & balance calculations. Maximum weight varies by aircraft but is typically around 100kg (15.5 stone) for the PA-28 and Cessna, and slightly less for the aerobatic Robin 2160. Maximum height is generally 6'4". Please contact us if you have specific concerns.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, casual clothing is best. Avoid bulky jackets in the cockpit. Flat, closed-toe shoes are mandatory (no heels or flip-flops) as you may be using the rudder pedals. Sunglasses are highly recommended year-round.
Can friends and family come to watch?
Absolutely! Swansea Airport has great viewing areas and a café where your guests can relax and watch you take off and land.
How early should I arrive for my flight?
Please arrive at least 15–20 minutes before your scheduled slot. This gives us time to complete your pre-flight briefing, check your details, and get you comfortable before heading to the aircraft.
Do my trial lesson hours count towards a pilot's licence?
Yes! All our trial lessons are conducted by certified instructors in dual-control aircraft. The time you log can be counted towards a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or National Private Pilot Licence (NPPL).
